Just a month ago, it would've been hard to imagine life in lock-down with #SocialDistancing playing a vital role in our collective pursuit to beat the menace that is #COVID. Though once this passes (and it will!), here are some cool ways you can get back to doing what you love - Travel.
1. Explore Incredible India
What are the best places to travel in India? Unique travel ideas in India? Just some of the questions that may pop into your head. India has tons to offer from incredible wildlife safaris in Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh, scenic landscapes of Himachal Pradesh, snow experiences in Kashmir, yoga retreat in Kerala and lots more depending on your interests. We're also thinking of some fantastic road-trips. Travel within India has never been this enticing.
2. Learn to surf in Sri Lanka
Just around two hours by plane from most cities in India, Sri Lanka is one of our absolute favorite destinations and one which is rather under-rated. It may be a tiny island-nation but sure is blessed with a varied geography that makes it special. While Sri Lanka has plenty to offer, learning to surf would make for a pretty epic experience. Most surf camps are five to seven days and work great even if you've got no prior experience.
3. Revel on sun-kissed beaches in the Maldives (at great prices!)
If you've wondered where the term 'Paradise' was coined - this is your answer. The Maldives, an archipelago of more than 1,100 islands forms, what we call, the Ultimate Beach Experience in the World. We're so much in love with this gem of the Indian Ocean we've (Cozymoons' Team) collectively flocked here more than 10 times in the last two years alone! If you're seeking uninterrupted downtime in sheer tranquility - these emerald isles of the Maldives have to be right on top of your list. Tourism being the largest source of livelihood here, don't be surprised if you get some mouth-watering deals once the borders re-open.
4. Embark on a gastronomic getaway in Japan
What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word 'Japan'? If Sakura (Cherry Blossom) or Mount Fuji are your thoughts - we don't blame you. Unfortunately, most travel companies don't talk much about the incredible food scene here and how much there's to explore. We would recommend spending at least 8-10 days to justifiably satiate your taste buds with unforgettable gastronomic experiences available through Japan. Varying from legendary street concepts like Yakitori & Izakaya to the mostly posh Michelin-star restaurants. Japan has you covered. Oh, did we mention legendary beer? (Think Asahi & Sapporo!)
5. Go soul searching in Nepal
Whether you're looking to explore the awe-inspiring wildlife in Chitwan National Park, trek to the Base Camp of the world's highest summit, Mount Everest or simply attempt a digital detox in the midst of pristine natural beauty, Nepal is a formidable travel experience. With non-stop flight connectivity from most major hubs in India, this easy access haven is also a country where Indian nationals do not require a visa to enter. Allow Nepal to encapsulate you with a new meaning of travel and who knows, maybe a new you?
